Additives Sustainability Footprint

As a founding member of the PVC value chain alliance VinylPlus®, ESPA has been engaged in the development of a more sustainable use of PVC stabilisers.

VinylPlus’s Additive Sustainability Footprint (ASF)

In this respect, VinylPlus’s Additive Sustainability Footprint (ASF) methodology allows its users to assess and promote the sustainable production and use of PVC additives across entire product life cycles, including the role of additives in the performance of PVC products. The ASF methodology is also recognised in the European Circular Economy Stakeholders Platform.

ESPA actively encourages the use of ASF, so that PVC can also be sustainable in the entire product life in the circular economy.

ESPA members are actively promoting, also beyond Europe, the ASF methodology and have committed to get the VSC (VinylPlus® Supplier Certificate) in all of their facilities.

ESPA also supports the continued use of VinylPlus®’s sustainability schemes, such as VinylPlus® Product Label for PVC products.
