About ESPA
ESPA (the European Stabiliser Producers Association) is a pan-European trade association representing more than 95% of the PVC stabiliser industry across Europe. ESPA is a sector group of Cefic, the European Chemical Industry Council.
ESPA mission is to:
- Promote the safe and sustainable use of stabiliser additives for vinyl applications;
- Provide a forum for the study and discussion of matters of scientific, technical, and environmental interest; and
- Contribute to the policy discussion on stabilisers and vinyl applications with the competent authorities and various stakeholders including national and international organisations.
ESPA is a founding member of VinylPlus, the Voluntary Commitment of the European PVC industry towards sustainability.
ESPA is a unique organisation representing three sub-associations:
The European calcium organic stabilisers association (ecosa)
Calcium-based stabilisers (including Ca-Zn & organic) for food contact, medical applications, and lead replacement.
The European liquid stabilisers association (elisa)
Liquid stabilisers used in a wide range of flexible PVC applications including sheets, flooring.
The European tin stabilisers association (etinsa)
Tin-based stabilisers used primarily in rigid applications including food contact use.
